This past Fall, it was time to add the last outbuilding for a while at Fluffy Bottom. Having a large storage and work barn is an important addition for the homestead.
Work began with the with clearing the site in late September, Even with all of the sand in the soil, additional sand was needed and graded for the building.
In just a few hours the “bones of the new barn rose from the cleared site.
It didn’t take but a day or two and the framing was complete and it was time to begin the metal work.
As quick as the roof was on, the cement arrived to pour the floor and drive apron. Then the waiting for it to cure interrupted work for several days.
Eventually the crew returned and the walls went up and in a a short time, Fluffy Bottom had a shiny, new red Barn !
