Welcome to the Green Season

Living in the “North Land”  means living with  seasons. The year starts with the “White Season” usually followed by the “Mud Season”. Most recently the “Green Season” began. No, it’s not due to the green vegetation that dominates the landscape.

The Green Season lasts just a couple of weeks, but can be quite intense. Living in a Jack Pine forest means you have to contend with the Green Season in late May into early June. This is when the trees produce massive amounts of green pollen that spreads like smoke or fog so intensely that visibility can drop to feet on roads. Worse is the fact that in covers and penetrates everything like green dust which does blow off with next wind gust. No painting, car washing, dusting, tree felling or the like until the Season ends!

Just a few hours into the Green Season!
