Autumn – Time to Wind Down

imageSummer is drawing to an end as the nights grow crisp and the Sun shrinks further South. The days will rapidly shorten and the garden work slow to a halt. However the harvest is not over as onions, potatoes, lettuce, Pak Choi, and carrots are still finishing. Garlic must be planted and some of the soft fruits need to be moved to the new orchard.

The Elderberry bushes are yielding a decent harvest, but with the first frost they’ll ready for the sleep of Winter.
